PLEASE don’t heat up your immune system.
What the heck am I talking about?
Turns out that the immune system can get hot and then lose it’s fine intelligence and start attacking the body. This leads to auto immune diseases and often other serious diseases as well.
How does the immune system get hot?
Our livers get overwhelmed, that’s how. The liver is such an important organ. It is responsible for filtering everything that comes into our bodies. It performs over 500 biochemical reactions.
And the kicker is ….as my teacher and mentor Vaidya Mishra has taught, that the liver only recognizes food. Not nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals. Just food. (and herbs and spices). Vaidya has said that the liver has to work so so hard to turn other things into something the body can use. (paraphrased)
When the liver gets overwhelmed with more toxins than it can process, we say in SVA Ayurveda that it ‘heats up’. It then can’t do it’s job very well. When the liver heats up, then that heat overflows into the blood and eventually so does the immune system, causing it to malfunction, creating all kinds of havoc in our physiology.
How to keep the liver from overheating? Simple. Be careful what you put in your body. Be mindful of your wonderful liver, that works so hard to keep you healthy. TRUST that your immune system knows how to keep you safe without injecting poisons into your body which will overheat the blood and immune system.
Your body is intelligent. Each organ and system has it’s own pristine intelligence. If anything, we want to SUPPORT that fine intelligence, not overload it to the point of damaging or destroying it.
There are so many ways to ‘baby’ our livers, to ‘cool’ our livers, and to help the body regain it’s natural intelligence. It’s not that hard.
p.s. I will examine this phenomenon in western terms in the future, but I wanted to get this post out there quickly. Please know that Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda is a more than 5000 year proven science…..I have seen so many amazing positive results using this science in my practice.
