What is SVA?

SVA

Since my undergrad years, I have been interested in nutritional healing. The only undergrad degree that the University of Texas offered resembling nutrition was in Dietetics, which turned out to include courses like identifying cuts of meat on a cow.  Not exactly what I had in mind.  So I became a Biochemistry/Chemistry Major, studied and researched traditional Ayurveda, and became a Doctor of Chiropractic,

After postgraduate studies in functional medicine, genetics, frequency medicine, and many, many healing technologies, I had still not found a truly dependable system or foundation for helping people to get well and stay well.

And then I met Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra.  After learning about the complete knowledge of healing that his lineage contained and his great successes in helping people get well, I was eager to learn more. I flew to LA and was initiated into his tradition that creates resilient health, and Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda (SVA) became the keystone of my practice.

Who is Vaidya Mishra and what is  Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda (SVA)?  Ayurveda is the oldest system of healthcare recorded on earth.  The Sanskrit word ‘Ayurveda’ means ‘Science of Life’.   The earliest written records alone indicate its existence about 5000 years ago, but this knowledge surely predates the written word.

Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda (SVA) refers to a very unique lineage which has kept its knowledge and treatments pure, alive, and effective for thousands of years, because it has been passed on unbroken from one generation of Vaidyas (expert ayurvedic physicians) to the next.   SVA is even more powerful and relevant because it has kept up with the needs of the times –  the  holders of this knowledge met regularly generation after generation making small adjustments to address the ailments and conditions of modern times.  (high stress, environmental pollutants, etc.).   SVA has not only been kept pure in its knowledge, but stands the test of time.  The results you can experience are very powerful, real, and long-lasting!

Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra was the most recent Vaidya in this more than 5000 year old unbroken lineage of Ayurvedic doctors.  After graduating with 7 years of ayurvedic medical school, he spent another 7 years apprenticed with his father, a renowned Vaidya, where he learned all of the precious secrets of his family lineage.  Vaidya Mishra’s ancestors were Raj Vaidyas for generations and generations, physicians to the Royal Families of India, and are mentioned in the ancient Vedic texts, the Puranas.  It is indeed a rarity in today’s world, even in India, that such a lineage even exists.  I am forever grateful to be able to offer this profound healing system to all of my patients.
